Tequilatopia at Grub
It’s no secret that here at Grub, we really love our margaritas. That’s why we put our Five Dollar Rita on our menu — we believe everybody should be able to have a delicious drink for not a lot of dough. As the name suggests, The Five Dollar Rita brings you Sauza Silver Tequila, orange liqueur, orange and fresh lime juice, all for just five smackeroos.
But for 30 glorious days — July 15 through August 15 — Grub will become your personal Tequilatopia, where all our margaritas cost just $5. That’s Right: 30 days. Any Rita. Just $5. All Day. (promotion varies at certain locations.)
Even our Patron Mango Rita — a top-shelf bev made with Patron Silver Tequila, Patron Citronge Mango and fresh lime juice — will set you back only one Abe.
Now is the perfect time to live large for less — and to celebrate everything we love about margaritas. We love the deliciously complex flavor profile: the salt on the rim, the sweetness of the agave, the bitterness of the tequila and the sourness of the lime juice.
We love its many incarnations. House or top-shelf? Salted rim or no? Classic lime juice or something wild and crazy?
We love that it pairs so nicely with our favorite foods. It’s an obvious complement to Southwest-inspired menu items like our Guacapotle™ and Scorpion burgers, Black Bean & Charred Corn Medley and the California Chicken Bowl, and the salt helps bring out the flavors in other dishes, as well.
We’re not the only ones who love a good margarita, of course. There are more than 5 million Instagram posts using the hashtag #margarita. According to the number nerds at Nielsen, 60 percent of Americans say margaritas are their favorite cocktail. And, of course, there’s Jimmy Buffet’s oh-so-catchy ode to the ‘rita.
So how much do you love margaritas? Show us on Instagram by tagging us @GrubBurgerBar and add to that #margarita hashtag count. Plus, if you post a pic of yourself sippin’ that Rita at Grub using the hashtag #tequilatopia, you’ll be entered for a chance to win a $25 Grub gift card. How cool is that?!
Cheers to Tequilatopia!
