The 3 day weekend is here and we must remember Memorial Day is a day we as a country come together to honor and remember our servicemen and women who answered America’s call to service and paid the ultimate price. Memorial Day is the time for Americans to say, “Thank you. We remember you.

If you spent too much time waiting for the weekend instead of planning what to do with that extra 24 hours and find yourself in a pickle, don’t worry, we have assembled a great game plan for you that involves… you guessed it… GRUB!

Combo 1

Nothing will put a little pep in your step and kick off the weekend better than our spicy Scorpion burger. Don’t pretend you aren’t drooling already. Oops, maybe that’s because the burger is a little too spicy for you. Oh Voodoo Mushroom burger, how you smell of sweet summertime with all of your delicious mushroom goodness. How could you NOT order that glorious, juicy burger to enjoy on a sunny three day weekend? That’s right, you CAN’T! If you are smart enough to know that, you know you can’t let that burger go down all by itself, pair it with a split decision of fries and onion rings, because much like a three day weekend, why not get as much time off, or deliciousness as you can? First stop! Get in the Mardi Gras spirit any time of year with our Voo Doo Mushroom Burger. Absinthe-sautéed mushrooms, Swiss cheese and Tabasco mayo bring the Big Easy right to your plate.

Mexico

Viva la Grub! Our Guacapotle Burger, with its Chipotle aioli, cheddar cheese and homemade guacamole, will make you say, “Ay carumba!”

If that’s not Mexican enough for you, add in our Black Bean & Charred Corn Medley, made with red onion, tomato, cilantro, jalapeño and fresh lime juice, plus one of our margaritas for good measure. Who needs Cancun?

Trinidad y Tobago

This is more on the Trinidad side, we suppose. Our Scorpion Burger comes with Pepper Jack cheese, grilled jalapeños, lettuce, tomato and a pickled habanero pepper, all topped by with our Trinidad Moruga scorpion sauce. You’ll feel more heat than you would sunning yourself on a Caribbean beach.

Alaska

For many, a great fishing expedition in Alaska sounds like pure perfection. If that’s your perfect catch, try our Wild Caught Salmon Burger. We’re talking a hand-chopped wild caught salmon and ancho chili burger patty, topped with avocado, black bean and charred corn medley, tequila lime and fresh cilantro, all sandwiched by a white bun.

September is here, and that can mean only one thing at Grub — our newest LTO is here, too. (No, not the boy band who likes girls that wear Abercrombie & Fitch. That’s LFO.) Our latest Market Items do have us pretty jazzed up though. And we’re even more excited to you to get in on the action before it’s over and done.

“Tell us already! The suspense is killing me!” Yes, we can hear you through your computer, tablet or mobile device.

First of all, take a deep breath. Chances are your coworkers are starting to give you some serious side-eye. But menu items like this deserve a big build-up, okay? So, with a bit more further ado, let’s pull back the curtain.

Why don’t we start the show with dessert? (That’s how we roll sometimes. Sorry, Mom.) 5 Things We’re Looking Forward to This Summer

And just like that, it’s Summer. It’s time to slow down and take it all in. To enjoy life with family and friends. To live large while the livin’s easy.

How do we love summer? Let us count the ways.

1. School’s out.

For some lucky kids, no school means staying up late and sleeping in. For everyone, it means no homework, no tests and way less stress. Breathe in and say it with us now: “Ahhhhh.” 

2. Vacation.

Warm sun, cool water and weird tan lines? Yes, please. Whether you’re headed to the beach or just spending a few days laying out by the pool, there’s nothing better than taking a little time off to reboot.

3. Seasonal sips.

There’s something about summer drinks that are just extra-fun, and at Grub, we’ve got more than our fair share (#shamelessplug). There’s the Five Dollar Rita (Sauza Silver Tequila, orange liqueur, orange and fresh lime juice), the Patron Mango Rita (Patron Silver Tequila, Patron Citronage Mango and fresh lime juice), our Back Porch Punch (Bacardi rum and fresh juices), our seasonal housemade sangria and the Peach Martini (Deep Eddy Peach vodka, pineapple and lime juice with a hint of jalapeno.)

With the new year officially rung in, many of us are looking to trade in vice for virtue by adopting healthier habits. If you’re among those looking to clean up their act, fear not. You don’t have to relegate yourself to 365 days of kale, quinoa and lemon water. As it turns out, Grub Burger Bar has a lighter — and still delicious — side.

Market Menu Spotlight: Brezel & Wurst Sandwich and Sandlot Shake

Summer is finally in full swing, and with it comes new opportunities for fun in the sun as well as nostalgia for years past. But you don’t have to warble about those “summer niiiiiiiii-iiiiiiiights.” Grub has you covered with a couple of tasty new market menu items that are guaranteed to stir up some of those wonderful memories… and maybe help you make some new ones to look back on later.

But you’ll want to get here fast — these items are available only for a limited time in July & August.

Our new Brezel & Wurst is a German-inspired pretzel and sausage sandwich. You get a house-made sausage topped with peppers, onions, provolone and Dijonaise served on a made-from-scratch salted pretzel bun. Relive that summer studying abroad, or just enjoy the Old World flavors of this tasty ‘wich. Danke and bitte, right?

Next up, we’re bringing back our Sandlot shake and lighting it on fire.
